Managing external assets – tracked portfolios

The “Tracked Portfolio” function in Akila 2.0 enables users to track client assets held at other institutions. The user will be able to add and update holdings currently being held in external brokerage accounts (TD Waterhouse, RBC Dominion etc.)

The first step is to create a tracked portfolio for a given client. To do so, in the client overview screen, select the “Tracked Portfolio” function within the More Drop-down menu, as shown above.

Once the Tracked Portfolio menu appears, please click on “Add”:

Enter the Description of the external portfolio i.e. (TD Waterhouse, RBC) with an account number in case a client holds multiple external portfolios. Also enter the names of the owners of the external portfolio. Once completed, select “Submit”.

You are now ready to begin adding holdings to your Portfolio. To begin, Click on the “Edit Holdings” button beside the portfolio for which you would like to add or modify the holdings. On the next screen, click on “Add” to add a holding.

On the following screen, complete the fields in regards to the external client holding you would like to add. Once competed, please click on “save” to confirm the holding.

The holding is now added to the tracked portfolio. You may view, add or decide to modify a holding in the following screen by clicking on the “View/Edit” button.

Printing a Tracked Portfolio:

To print a client’s tracked portfolio, click on “Print report” in the summary screen:

To retrieve the report, go to “Report Manager” report Queue.
